ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP
Subscription dues are just like a magazine subscription. It gives you 365 days of membership in the VFW. The basic breakdown of what is going to happen is:
Annual membership dues are $45 and due on the anniversary of the date you joined the VFW or the date of annual renewal. As a annual member and you paid your dues before Jan 2021 your expiration will be Jan 2022. If you pay after that date whatever day your dues are processed at National will be the new expiration date. For example: You send in your dues to National on 1 Feb 2021 and National processed them on 15 Feb. Your new expiration date would be 15 Feb 2022.
LIFE MEMBERSHIP
You can become a VFW Life Member by making a one-time payment, or you can pay for your Life membership through the VFW website with an initial $45 payment and the balance of your Life membership amount is billed over a 11-month period.
By becoming a VFW Life member, you make a lifetime commitment to serving your fellow service members and Veterans. You'll also enjoy many great benefits of being a Life member!

Honoring the Flag of the United States of America is a cherished tradition practiced by our military and Veterans. Your local VFW Post may have a Honor and Color Guard and would be proud to carry on this tradition normally made up of volunteer Veterans associated with the Post.
Most Post can assist formal requests for U.S. Flag Presentations by any school, community organizations, parade marches, or displaying the National Colors at various local Memorials, schools and community events. Your local VFW Post Honor and Color Guard may also provide military honors at Veteran funerals, memorial services and celebrations of life, as requested by their families.
MEMBERSHIP
As yesterday's defenders of freedom, we want to welcome today's military service members into our ranks to become part of our elite group. Our common bond is the battlefield, whether it is service in the Persian Gulf, Korea, Kosovo, the Global War on Terrorism or peace-keeping expeditionary campaigns. Your courage and sacrifice have made a difference in preserving and defending world peace.
If you have received a campaign medal for overseas service; have served 30 consecutive or 60 non-consecutive days in Korea; or have ever received hostile fire or imminent danger pay, then you're eligible to join our ranks.
